Why Bringing Your Own Equipment Matters?

Welcome to Raja Ampat, a diver's paradise boasting some of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems on the planet. As you prepare for your underwater adventure, one crucial aspect to consider is your dive gear. While many homestay's provide snorkel equipment rentals, having your own gear can enhance your Raja Ampat experience in numerous ways.

Soul scuba divers do not organize snorkel trips and we do not rent fins or mask out for this activity.

Which Equipment I should consider bringing with me ?

Let’s dive into why bringing your own equipment matters and what essentials you should pack for your trip to Raja Ampat.

Snorkeling As you prepare for your adventure in Raja Ampat, don't overlook the importance of bringing your snorkeling gear.

Mask, Fins, and Snorkel

First and foremost, let's address the essentials: your mask, fins, and snorkel. While some homestay's may offer rentals, it's often limited, and having gear that fits you perfectly can make a world of difference in your comfort and enjoyment underwater. Plus, with the unique contours of your own mask, you'll ensure a snug fit and optimal visibility, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the stunning underwater scenery of Raja Ampat.

Dive equipment

Soul Scuba divers are focus on scuba diving and we provided complete scuba diving equipment for our divers (BCD, Regulator, mask’s, fins, wetsuit, reef hook, SMB, kg needed for diving). Our equipment is maintained daily basis and our equipment is in good condition. We use mainly Mares and ScubaPro equipment. We do not rent our gear out.

Bringing your own dive gear provides a level of comfort and familiarity that rentals may not offer. This familiarity allows you to focus entirely on the breathtaking marine life surrounding you, rather than fussing with unfamiliar gear.

If you bring your own equipment (mandatory BCD and regulator) you will get 100,000 IDR reduced from each dive.

Why choose to make snorkel trips with the homestay ?

You will directly Support Local Communities.

By patronizing homestay that offer snorkeling trips, you directly support the livelihoods of local residents. Soul Scuba Divers do not take snorkelers on the board for dive boats(This is for the safety reasons).

So pack your mask, fins, and snorkel with care, and get ready to explore the unparalleled beauty of Raja Ampat's underwater realm.

And remember, supporting homestay, you're not just embarking on a vacation – you're investing in a brighter future for the local communities of Raja Ampat.

Best way to to explore the Beaty of Raja Ampat is to stay always wet, While not Scuba diving with Soul Scuba Divers, spent your time by snorkeling and making afternoon/sunset snorkel trips with your homestay.
